A few things we’re great at

An Osteopaths approach to helping is … focused on you, holistic, gentle and effective.

Osteopaths are trained to diagnosed & treat a wide range of musclo-skeletal problems for all ages from the young to the not so young.

Helping you help yourself

Osteopaths work in partneship with the patient, encouraging patient ownership to help get themselves better. We prefer to “find the problem, fix it then leave it alone”

Osteopath or Chiropractor???

The major difference between an Osteopath and a Chiropractor is that while the chiropractor is primarily focused on the spine and joints (and the muscles too, to a point), an Osteopath is also concerned with the rest of the body. He or she might treat patients with respiatory problems, digestive problems or any other number of problems that might not seem related to the spine or joints.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a manual medicine that focuses on total body health by treating and strengthening the musculoskeletal framework, including joints, muscles and the spine.

It is complementary to other medical practices. An osteopath practices manual techniques on the neuro-musculoskeletal system using holistic and patient-centered approaches. A core principle behind osteopathy is the idea that the body is an integrated and indivisible whole, and contains self-regulating and self-healing mechanisms that can be utilised as part of the treatment.
